Homework

Homework will be assigned and collected on a regular basis with a rough grade ( by random selection of problems)  of 0-5 for each assignment. You are encouraged to work on homework in small groups but each student must turn in their own homework done in their own hand. Late homework is NOT accepted.

Academic Dishonesty

The cheating policy is defined in Pacific Stuff & the Pacific Catalog as well as the Academic Policy that each of you signed upon entering Pacific University. Be sure you read or reread this policy carefully. The solutions should be an individual effort unless otherwise specified on the assignment. While high level concepts may be discussed, do not discuss specific homework problems or solutions. If you have any question as to whether or not what you are about to do constitutes cheating, ask the instructor.

Any breach of standards for academic honesty as defined in the Pacific University catalog will be reported to the Assistant Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and will carry a penalty of a grade of “F” for the course.

Calculator

A calculator may be used during the latter half of the class. Work during the first few weeks of the course will need to be done by hand.
